Dr. Lynn Hiles was in Washington, NC this weekend teaching at The Cave on Friday and Saturday evenings and doing a question and answer session on Saturday morning at the weekly pancake and sausage breakfast. Jay Jones, who heads up the ministry at The Cave had given me a book by Lynn entitled, "The Revelation of Jesus Christ." It is perhaps one of the most important books I have ever read. I had the pleasure of hearing Lynn minister in Wallace, NC a few weeks ago, and was greatly looking forward to traveling to Washington to hear Lynn and perhaps spend some time getting to know him.
There are currently numerous prophecies about the year 2024 being the year of the open door. So, the question becomes, "What exactly does that mean?" Let's take a look at what an open door actually is, and at what it means for the present time. In the Book of Revelation John saw an open door in Heaven and was immediately in the Spirit. But this was the second in the Spirit experience he had as he was receiving revelation that day on the Island of Patmos. So, a reasonable question to ask would be, "What is the difference between John's first in the Spirit experience and his second in the Spirit experience?"
Verily, verily, I say unto thee, except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. John 3:3 Now after that John was put in prison, Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God, and saying, "The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel." Mark 1:14-15 It is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment: so Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation. Hebrews 9:27-28
And God said, "Let us make man in our image, after our likeness..." So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. Genesis 1:26-27 And the LORD God said, "Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil." Genesis 3:22 In Genesis 1:26 God says, "Let us make man in our image, after our likeness." There is much debate as to the literal meaning of image and likeness in this verse. My intention is not to look into that debate in this teaching, but instead to share revelation I have been given on the subject.
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ: according as he hath chosen us in him, before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love, having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will. Ephesians 1:3-5
And of the children of Issachar, which were men that had understanding of the times, to know what Israel ought to do; the heads of them were two hundred; and all their brethren were at their commandment. 1 Chronicles 12:32 To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven. Ecclesiastes 3:1 There have been times in my life as a believer that one statement from God literally changed everything for me. Other times I have read a book, that was divinely ordained for me to read at that specific time, and it opened up revelatory knowledge to me that changed the way I read the Bible.
Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. Proverbs 3:5-6 Though he slay me, yet will I trust in him. Job 13:15 There is a trust that goes deeper than exercising faith for specific things. It is a trust that cannot be shaken, even when the circumstances of our lives seem to go against the promises found in the Word of God (the Bible). It is a trust that remains intact even when things we have prayed for, confessed and exercised faith for seem to remain elusive, stubbornly refusing to manifest in our lives. So how can a believer know if he/she possesses this deeper trust?
I am the Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty. Revelation 1:8 I am the Alpha and Omega, the first and the last. Revelation 1:11 And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful. And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely. He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son. Revelation 21:5-7 I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last. Revelation 22:13
Who hath heard such a thing? Who hath seen such things? Shall the earth be made to bring forth in one day? Or shall a nation be born at once? For as soon as Zion travailed, she brought forth her children. Isaiah 66:8 We all know the story of Joseph. How he was sold into slavery by his own brothers and separated from his father and family at the young age of seventeen. Then, in Egypt he was unjustly accused and thrown into prison. But through it all (thirteen years) God was with him, maturing him while preparing and positioning him to become the number two man to the most powerful king on earth at that time.
"Every scribe who has become a disciple of the kingdom of heaven is like the head of a household, who brings out of his treasure things that are new and fresh and things that are old and familiar." Jesus in Matthew 13:52 AMP A few years ago Jesus appeared to me in a night vision and told me that I am an apostle. Later it was prophesied to me by someone whose prophetic gift I greatly respect, that I am also a father to the Body of Christ. While I didn't discount this prophetic word given to me, I couldn't fully embrace it at the time.
