Emotional wounds strike at the very heart of a person. Even strong and confident people who experience emotional upheaval can find themselves depressed and down in spirit. If you are like most people, you have had a "broken heart" at some time because of grief from the death of a loved one, loss of a pet, or divorce. Betrayal also can attempt to crush and break your spirit. Long before medical science discovered that stress, trauma, and emotional pain affect the physical body, the Bible revealed the connection between the spirit or what we call the "heart" of a person. "A sound heart is the life of the flesh; but envy the rottenness of the bones." (Proverbs 14:30)
Here are four things we can expect to see in 2022: 1. New Winds - New winds of the Spirit will blow in unexpected places and unexpected ways. These winds will shift the directions and even transform the characters of cities and nations. Even as the early church was incredulous about the transformation of self-righteous Paul, people will be incredulous about the dramatic transformation of cities and nations that presently resist God and His purposes. The miracle and message of redemption will be seen, known and experienced on a personal, national and international level.
The Savior and King of the Universe longs to know you intimately and through that relationship with Him, He will use you to impact the world for His glory. What a heartbreaking truth that many will operate in the giftings but won't know Jesus. We see this reality in Scripture, where in Matthew 7:21-23 it says, "Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. Many will say to me on that day, 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name and in your name drive out demons and, in your name, perform many miracles?' Then I will tell them plainly, 'I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!'"
Why didn't I stop eating foods that contained processed sugar when Jesus told me to stop back in 1977? Because I was stubborn and rebellious and wanted to keep at least one pleasure for myself. "Let me keep sugar, Jesus," I'd say. "It makes me happy." Of course, it also made me super, morbidly obese with a cardiac surgeon declaring I only had five years to live if I didn't lose weight. However, Romans 14:17 (AMP) clearly states, "The kingdom of God is not a matter of eating and drinking [what one likes], but of righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit." Notice that the kingdom is not about eating and drinking what we like. It's about righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit. Nothing else matters but allowing God to lead us.
2022 is the year of mysteries and hidden revelation being revealed and your life purpose becoming much clearer.

....to make plain to everyone the administration of this mystery, which for ages past was kept hidden in God, who created all things. Ephesians 3:9 NIV The revelation about your life purpose and the administration of how and what to do is being released. The Lord is going to reveal the mystery about your life purpose and calling and give you the divine ability to bring it into reality.
My wife and I raised four daughters - without shotguns in the house! We love our sons-in-law, and it's obvious God handpicked each of them to match our daughters' temperaments and personality. I have always believed God is in the matchmaking business. If He can do it for my daughters, He can do it for you. Today I have several single female friends who would very much like to find the right guy. Some tell me the pickings are slim at their church, so they have ventured into the world of online dating. Others have thrown up their hands in despair, wondering if there are any decent Christian guys left anywhere. They've begun to wonder if they should lower their standards in order to find a mate.
I've been hearing in my spirit lately, "It's time to come down from the stage and go into the fields." I understand simply by making that statement it has the potential to be misunderstood. I'm not in any way suggesting we should not be gathering ourselves together in our buildings, whether they be of the traditional type or within homes, etc. We are the Church, and the Word clearly tells us not to forsake gathering with one another that we may inspire, encourage and learn from one another. In fact, I believe it's vital that we continue to come together in Him (in person) as much as possible.
The God we "serve" isn't really looking for servants. He is not the King of servants; He is the King of kings. Our Father isn't looking for compliant submission from servants. His heart is longing for collaborative creativity from sons. He treasures two things: 1) sons who are conversant and conversational about His Purpose, and 2) sons who can creatively initiate its implementation on earth. Sons know their Father's business and do it from the heart, not the letter.
At one of my Gospel Truth Seminars, I ministered to a man who had detached retinas. I was standing right in front of him, and he said I was just a blur. With the service about to start, I only had a moment to minister, so I told him to come forward at the end, and one of our prayer ministers would continue the process. He did and, after further ministry, gave a great testimony. Not only could he see me clearly, but he could see the faces of the people at the back of the auditorium. Thank You, Jesus! That's a miracle!
WORSHIP ME! says the Lord. The Lord spoke to me yesterday and said, "There is a big difference between church worship and God worship. Church worship is when you lift up a certain group or person and God worship is when you lift up Me, the Lord." (And then I thought, Lord, are you wanting me to give this word??? Because I know how that will go over! But then He asked if I wanted His Presence, and I said "Yes, I do! I certainly do!") He continued, "In church worship, people worship the pastor. With God worship, they worship Me. In church worship, they focus on all the things related to the church. In God worship, they are seeking on how to please Me."
