The Holy Spirit often speaks to me in parables, allegories, dreams and visions. One night several years ago, while reading the bible, He revealed a powerful allegory to me. He showed me a mother eagle hovering protectively over her nest with her baby eaglet inside. Knowing that the eaglet came into full maturity and that it was time to fly, the mother eagle gently nudged the eaglet out of the nest. As the eaglet plummeted, the mother swooped down, rescued it, and placed it safely back into the nest. She did this several times until the eaglet learned to fly on its own.
I wanted to share a dream that I found in my journal from three years ago that still resonates with me. In the dream I saw a pastor who is a respected and influential leader of a large charismatic church. I haven't followed his ministry for a few years, but I remember his impactful teaching. He is a man of faith and has a powerful anointing on his life. I attended some conferences back in the 90's where he was one of the speakers.
Many of you are sensing a turmoil brewing in the spirit realm. There is a growing sense of uncertainty settling in, like the calm before the storm. Those of you who are spiritually sensitive and attuned to the Holy Spirit could discern that it's a battle between the forces of good and evil. There are assignments sent from the enemy that are meant to divert people's attention off Jesus' plan. For those of you who received a prophetic promise from the Lord, be assured that it will come to pass regardless of what circumstances may look like in the natural.
One morning I woke up with a vague memory of having multiple dreams, but unfortunately, I couldn't recall any details. I went to my kitchen and began my day as always by saying "Good morning Holy Spirit". I went to the window and peeked through the curtains. As soon as I looked up into the sky, I distinctly heard the Holy Spirit say, "I want to give you a glimpse into My glory". At that moment, I understood that He meant that He wants to give me a glimpse into the divine heavenly realms.
This afternoon the Holy Spirit showed me an animated illustration of a spiritual truth. He showed me a fruit tree that was dying. This tree was once vibrant, and flourishing, but its life has now been diminished. The trunk was decayed, the branches were withered, and its bark was cracked and peeling. Although it was still standing, it was frail and weak. The tree's limbs were brittle, and they cracked under pressure, and snapped with wind gusts.
The Lord is looking for believers to become "Ministers of Fire" and release His glory in a time when the world is in desperate need of a spiritual awakening. As we stand in a dry and thirsty land, the Holy Spirit is about to send a wave of His presence across this nation and the world, but He needs believers to ignite this fire. He needs those with new wineskins who will be able to carry and dispense the new wine.
I have a timely message for many of you, and I feel that it's a word of urgency that I need to share. I had another word prepared, but the Holy Spirit is leading me in a totally different direction. There's an anticipation in the atmosphere, and everyone senses that something is about to happen. To some it's a sense of excitement, and to others it's a sense of fear. Only those who are spiritually discerning recognize that it's the birth pains that Jesus spoke about in the book of Matthew. I'm using the title "The Battle for Your Soul" as a metaphor of two conflicting forces in the spirit realm, and every one of us encounters each of them daily. They are the powers of darkness, and the power of light. It's the struggle between good and evil.
I want to share a word that I received today. Nine years ago, there was a popular movie called "The War Room." This film captivated audiences, particularly resonating with the Christian community. The story was about a successful couple named Elizabeth and Tony. They had a beautiful home, a lovely daughter named Danielle, and great jobs. Tony was a pharmaceutical salesman, and Elizabeth was a realtor. They began having marital problems because Tony's job required him to travel often, and it took a toll on him and caused him to become abusive.
This past weekend there were numerous live stream conferences online. Some had hundreds of people in attendance, and some even had thousands. People filled auditoriums, churches and tent meetings worshipping Jesus side by side. Each person expressed their heartfelt worship with joyful singing and raised hands. Each ministry had their own unique music, and each person had their own personal way of connecting with God.
A few weeks ago, I had a prophetic message titled "The Double Portion Anointing." I wrote about how Elijah trained and mentored Elisha, up until the time the Lord took him up. Elijah asked Elisha what he wants from him when he departs. He replied: "Please let a double portion of your spirit be upon me." So, he said, "You have asked a hard thing. Nevertheless, if you see me when I am taken from you, it shall be so for you; but if not, it shall not be so." The Lord is about to release a greater anointing on many of us in this day. There are those who paid the price, passed the tests, kept their hearts pure, and followed closely after the Lord.
