Depression is an emotional ailment that attacks millions worldwide. It can be referred to as a serious mental illness that inflicts a person's mind and emotions. It is a good thing, in the name of overcoming this problem, this topic is hitting the news and coming to the forefront. So, what's next for us as believers in battling it? As the topic of depression and mental illness is coming forth, we should be praying and interceding for the people afflicted. We should be praying for ministry leaders to receive revelation from the Holy Spirit on how to conquer this affliction. We need to be assisting people to and through freedom and deliverance.
I just got back from 10 days in Europe. There is a great awakening happening around the world. It has different looks in different mountains. It's a shift from servants who need help, healing, and guidance to sons who have dreams, initiative and results. Here are a couple of examples. In corporate culture, people have been treated like sheep who can't be trusted, and managers saw themselves as needing to control and guide these huddled masses. That's shifting to a version of leadership that connects people with a shared purpose and encourages their entrepreneurial creativity, a realization that the contributor can do things the leader can't (respect). Thankfully, millennials won't work for autocratic managers – it's over!
Prayer is like the engine of our lives that keeps us moving God's direction.  It is our life with God, our communion or communication with Him.  One of my favorite, and I have to admit "the easiest," way for me to connect with God in prayer is when I pray with my spirit. In the book of 1 Corinthians Paul taught us that we can pray with our spirit (in tongues) and with our understanding.  Many times when I am praying with my spirit God will show me things to pray with my understanding.  1 Corinthians 14:14 "I will pray with the spirit, and I will also pray with the understanding. I will sing with the spirit, and I will also sing with the understanding."
I heard the Lord say, "I am decreeing this will be your most productive season, but you must fight against distraction and keep your hands upon my assignment for your life." The Lord has been speaking to me so much about the level of acceleration, momentum, occupying and building that is going to take place in 2020 and beyond. As I sought His heart I heard the Lord speak over the body of Christ "I am decreeing this will be your most productive season but you must fight against distraction." When He spoke those words I had a vision and I saw assignments that the Lord has placed before God's people in 2020 and this new era.
For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 8:38–39 I often hear people say, "God's love is unconditional!" But the moment they fail, all of a sudden, the love they once said was unconditional becomes contingent upon their behavior. Many believe that God loves them when they do right, but stops loving them the moment they do something wrong.
As you step into 2020, reset your priorities and make it your goal to spend time with God. When I was a teenager, my mentor, Barry, taught me to have a daily devotional time with God. This has become the single most important habit in my life, and I'm convinced no one can grow as a Christian without it. I memorized Proverbs 8:34 when I was just 18: "Blessed is the man who hears me, watching daily at my gates, waiting at the posts of my doors." I started getting up early and praying in my college dorm room.
Daniel of the Bible was not only a dreamer himself, but he also interpreted the dreams of others. King Nebuchadnezzar was one such recipient of Daniel's dream interpreting gift. The king had a troubling dream which none of the mystics, sorcerers, and occult leaders in his kingdom could interpret. But Daniel, led and inspired by God, sought the Lord for the interpretation through which he astonished the king and his court. Daniel replied, "No wise man, enchanter, magician or diviner can explain to the king the mystery he has asked about, but there is a God in heaven who reveals mysteries. He has shown King Nebuchadnezzar what will happen in days to come" (Daniel 2:27–28 NIV).
I am going to share a word that I had three years ago. The Holy Spirit brought this word back to me after speaking with several friends who are so fired up with testimonies of what Jesus is doing in their lives and ministries the past few weeks. We have been placed in the kingdom of God for such a time as this and we are called to "Raze" Hell. There is no place for lukewarm Christianity or mediocrity in the kingdom of God. We are called, chosen, appointed and anointed to establish the Kingdom of God on the earth and destroy the works of the enemy. The definition of "Raze" is: To tear down; demolish; level to the ground and completely destroy.
I have a real burden for the Church, and dealing with pride seems to be one of the areas where I believe we miss it the most. So much of the world has crept back into the Church that it feels natural now, but then we don't hear from God and wonder why, and the schemes of the world are used to make us think more is going on than what really is. Pride is acted out as shaming, and negative comparing, and resentment is stuffed and then acted out, and the description of God we hear about is not really being seen.
God is releasing the prophetic plans for the New Year to you. Let the prophetic plan of the Holy One of Israel quickly come to pass so that we can see what it is! Isaiah 5:19 TPT God is opening spiritual books of understanding and revealing your life purpose and calling. Many people are now stepping into the reason they were created. Don't be discouraged if it is not yet clear, as God is releasing the bigger picture to you over the next few weeks and months. For we know in part and we prophesy in part, but when completeness comes, what is in part disappears. 1 Corinthians 13:9–10 NIV
