We carry the power of death and life in the words that we say and also there is great value in what we carry in our heart towards another person. Not forgiving another presents to God a person with the stain of sin still upon them not allowing His blood to wash it away. Forgiveness presents to God a person who has a clean slate, no sin, allowing the blood of Christ to wash them clean.
You shall dwell in the land of Goshen, and you shall be near to me, you and your children, your children's children, your flocks and your herds, and all that you have. There I will provide for you, lest you and your household, and all that you have, come to poverty; for there are still five years of famine. Genesis 45:10–11 In the Old Testament story of Joseph, after Joseph revealed himself to his brothers, he tells them to return to their father and to tell him, "...come down to me, do not tarry. You shall dwell in the land of Goshen, and you shall be near to me, you and your children, your children's children, your flocks and your herds, and all that you have." (Genesis 45:9–10).
Over the last month, I've been part of a tribe of people moving from children who have entered the Kingdom to sons who inherit and possess their calling spiritually and practically. They have distinct ministry gifts, yet they prosper in businesses or vocations. Moving from God's child to God's son to an inheritance that belongs to you is a natural Kingdom progression of maturity. Right now, we don't just need to bind enemy activity; we are displacing enemy rule by standing up in our calling. The Father is placing sons in positions of influence to bless nations. It's a season in the spirit to volunteer.
It is easy to trust the Lord when everything is predictable and all is under your control. The real test comes when you don't understand everything that is going on. The fact is that God does not let us know everything. He is the only one who knows it all, otherwise He wouldn't be God. Genesis 12:1-2 Now the Lord had said to Abram: "Get out of your country, from your family and from your father's house, to a land that I will show you. I will make you a great nation; I will bless you and make your name great; and you shall be a blessing." If you don't have it all figured out, realize you are in good company because Abram did not know where he was going – all he knew is that he was going!
What matters - in the next few hours, the next few days, the next few weeks or even next few years? Well, isn't it mostly your general well being? So between now and eternity, what matters? Isn't it your connection with God and the knowledge of the Truth? Death to this world can happen in a second. Even dramatic changes can happen. I remember going over to my mother's home and opening the door and seeing that she was gone, she lay dead on the kitchen floor.
Jesus asked His disciples, saying, "Who do men say that I, the Son of Man, am?" They replied, some say John the Baptist, some Elijah, and others say Jeremiah or one of the prophets." Then He asked them, "But who do you say that I am?" Simon Peter said, "You are the Christ, the Son of the living God." Then as Jesus answered Peter, He was actually saying (paraphrased) Peter, you have received this answer not by natural knowledge but by revelation from My father in heaven and upon this rock (revelation) I will build My church, and the gates of hell (imprisonment from the enemy through the kingdom of darkness) will not prevail against it.
I was at lunch today with a sister who has been through an amazingly hard year. I cannot even describe all she and her husband, have been though, in almost every area of their lives. Some things just bizarre, and occurring in a seemingly relentless, and often simultaneous manor. But as I was sharing with her today, I told her I was able to see in both of them a new strengthening, establishing, and UPGRADE coming their way! The manifestations of the spiritual upgrades were actually sequalae of physical upgrades now coming to their home. As I said, they had one issue, after another appear, sometimes simultaneously. Many things needed to be demolished, fixed, removed, replaced, and upgraded. The list went on and on, at home and at work.
For the past few months, I have been seeing new gates and doorways opening in the spiritual realm. This is going to shift the spiritual atmosphere over those who are discouraged and under heavy attack of oppression. Each month I see a different door open in Heaven that releases the opportunity for people to get out of this time of heavy attacks and setbacks. Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know. Jeremiah 33:3 NIV The spiritual atmosphere is ripe and ready for you to hear God. I have never seen the heavens so open, but it might come with a battle. Ask the Lord to speak to you and watch for answers to come quickly.
Yesterday, our youngest daughter came home from college for a visit. She sat down in the living room and shared the following testimony. Apparently, a beautiful yellow bird was injured and in pain, with a broken wing, on her college campus. The bird was afraid, clearly panicking in the street, while people walked right past, hurrying on toward their destinations. No one seemed to notice or care. Hour after hour it was struggling and in pain, probably close to death.
"Don't be intimidated in any way by your enemies. This will be a sign to them that they are going to be destroyed, but that you are going to be saved, even by God himself" (Phil. 1:28, NIV). Before getting up to minister recently, my wife sensed that I was battling intimidation. She leaned over to me and whispered, "Your new name is 'Confidence!" Immediately, a lion roared inside me, and an alarm went off in hell. I rose up to minister, and the Lion of the Tribe of Judah took over the meeting. The Lord is renaming you today also. Your new name is "Confidence!"
