I'm grateful for my friend Quentin Beard, who pastors one of the fastest growing churches in South Dakota, Sioux Falls First Assembly. Because Quentin wants his congregation to experience the Holy Spirit, he scheduled a special weekend of meetings so that people could be baptized in the Holy Spirit, get healing prayer and receive personal prophetic ministry. The day before the event, I asked Quentin if we could have a larger-than-normal bottle of oil on the altar near the stage.
You need to persevere so that when you have done the will of God, you will receive what he has promised. For, "In just a little while, he who is coming will come and will not delay." Hebrews 10:36–37 NIV The Lord said, "Your time of waiting is now coming to an end. You have been in a time that has required nearly all that you have to persevere through the storms that have been coming against you. I am coming to you, and I am not going to delay the answers to your prayers any longer. Your Book of Purpose is now opening, and you are going to get deeper understanding into what is ahead. There will be no more delays starting in May!"
I looked over at the large truck I was passing to my right. Stacked in the trailer behind it were wrecked cars headed to a junk yard. On the rear windshield of the last one was "JUST MARRIED!" I can just imagine the thought now, "Well, that didn't go according to plan," as the new husband looks up at the smashed hood of the car. His wife looks over, concerned and frustrated. "Are we going to miss our flight?" Life often doesn't always go as we imagine it in our minds. We dream up all sorts of stories about how things should be and find ourselves crushed when the proverbial car of our life is being towed to the salvage lot.
You have heard me share a prophetic word from God about a tsunami wave of healing hitting the Western world. God told us that that no longer would His people ask, "Why not healing in the Western world?" He told us that in this wave there would be healing of all types, even unusual healings. He assured us that this healing wave was for everyone and anyone who was willing to get wet with this healing power. We were warned that along with this tsunami wave of healing there would be a strong undertow of unbelief, but that we were to keep our eyes fixed upon Him and expect to get wet.
There's a battle over the new wineskins, but hold fast, it's about to break. The Lord spoke to me today very clearly that there is a battle taking place over new wineskins right now. The Lord is releasing revelation of the new wineskins in the lives of His people and the new strategies and instructions for this new era, but in the midst of the revealing of these new wineskins and instructions, the enemy has come in raging. The Lord showed me an intense battle taking place over these new wineskins.
There is a rising group of men and women of God who have been hidden but have been prepared for a mission. They are being called by the Spirit of God to prepare a future generation of kingdom ambassadors who are going to shift culture and transform the earth. Because of the call on their lives, their journey has not been about them, but those following them. The Lord is calling forth history makers who carry a burden for family and a vision for kingdom expansion. There are many in this season who are being called as spiritual fathers and mothers to raise up sons and daughters and plant the seeds for emerging nations. If this is you, the Lord is saying, "Don't look for your own platform; you are to be a platform for others."
Have you experienced a case of spiritual identity theft? Here are a few clues: You find yourself thinking often about your past mistakes. You feel like a victim instead of a victor. You struggle with forgiving others who have hurt you. Did you answer "yes" to any of the above statements? If so, don't beat yourself up about it. Cases of spiritual identity theft have happened to some of the best of us, even Bible heroes. The good news is, for every attack of the enemy there is a God remedy! I'll share a few examples with you.
"Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the Lord is risen upon thee. For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the Lord shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee." Isaiah 60:1-2 KJV Never before has there existed such a hunger, such a zeal for spiritual truth as we now see emerging within humanity. Deep within humanity there has always existed an innate, burning hunger to experience a greater, fuller measure of the Spirit as the "deep" has continuously called unto the "deep." For millennia, much has been said and taught concerning the subject of spiritual awakening and from the very beginning mankind has sought to define awakening and to better understand the spiritual mechanics at work throughout the process of it.
Psalm 132:9 "Let Your priests be clothed with righteousness, and let Your saints shout for joy." Do you know the power of praise to God? Praising God changes our lives. Praise is one of the simplest things we can ever do in our walk with God. It is also one of the most powerful weapons that God has put at our disposal! Because of the way God has made us praise is perfect to bring needed adjustment to our thinking and to foster a yielded heart to His Presence. God inhabits the praises of His people. That means that when you praise God with your whole heart He actually fills that praise with the substance of Who He is.
Today, I want you to know you are great! And I do not mean that lightly or as a cliche. You really are truly great. I know that because you are here. You are on this planet we call earth because of your greatness. You have been created for success. This is true because you are alive. Nothing comes into creation without having its own programming for success. You were not created to fail. You were created to succeed. The Creator looked through the corridors of time and perceived a need for you.
