I am the Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty. Revelation 1:8 I am the Alpha and Omega, the first and the last. Revelation 1:11 And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new.  And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful. And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end.  I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely.  He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son. Revelation 21:5-7 I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last. Revelation 22:13
There are so many people out there who have a desire to obey God, they hear a call from God, but then when they step out to obey, it seems like all hell breaks loose and then they're like, "Did I miss God? Am I out of God's will?" You cannot use how good or bad things are going in your life as your determining factor for whether or not you heard God correctly and are in His will. If you do, you'll be all over the place all the time. Sometimes when you're obeying God bad things still happen.
Hearing God's voice is actually easy and does not need to be complicated. My experience is that most Christians have not been trained on how to hear the voice of God, how to respond to Him or to understand His timing. God still speaks today. Hearing His voice for yourself will activate you into a deeper relationship with Him. Since our beliefs are formed at an early age, we all can carry around some "belief baggage" that is not necessarily based on fact or reality. In many cases, strongly-held beliefs that have been passed down through generations are not actually based on the Bible. Some beliefs have been based on a Bible verse but were taken out of context.
Everyday we naturally make excuses knowingly and unknowingly about decisions in life. Many times they are just literally excuses holding you back from having a productive day, reaching a goal, a vision, or keeping you from moving forward from your "stuck" place. In 2016, I had the perfect excuse for my excessive weight gain. I just gave birth to my second daughter and woke up my first night at home paralyzed from the waist down. The doctors had no answers for me and could not guarantee I would ever walk again. I was sent to physical therapy for a few months and the therapist decided to discharge me from her care. Therapy was only making things worse for me, not better.
"But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth." (Acts 1:8) Dunamis power, the subject of this lesson, is what everyone wants but few are willing to pay the price for. Dunamis power requires much of us and of our faithfulness to the Lord. Consequently, this lesson will examine this biblical term in great detail and show how we as believers can walk in this power and in His authority. Healing anointing is Dunamis power; the power of the Lord is present to heal. You need the virtue. You need the gift. You need to be endowed with a gift for miracles because then you can preach on tithing or you can talk about anything and people will still get healed.
We often hear people say that there are at crossroads in their lives. Like many of us, I too have often found myself in what seems like a T junction where one can only go one way or the other but no longer ahead. This way of describing a moment of decision has often added much unnecessary pressure as we assume that one way is right and the other, well it will lead our lives to the wrong place. As I have faced these moments over and over and in fact find myself in one at this very moment I have come to realize as I spend time contemplating that in this way of doing life we don't reach T junctions but instead roundabouts.
Your words matter. They are one of the most important aspects of your life. They are an important characteristic of your life because they reveal who you are. Unlike any other thing in your life your words come from the depths of your essence. You will speak what is on the inside of yourself. This is a fact you cannot hide. You will speak from who you are. This is why your words really do matter. What is on the inside of you? Is there life? Or is there death? Listen to your words, and you will know. Do you believe in yourself? Or do you doubt yourself? The world will know through the words you speak. You can try to deceive, but eventually, your words will reveal the truth about you. There is no way around this reality.
Guilt. Accusations. Shame. Regret. Many in the body of Christ are riddled with negativity, with condemnation—some even to the point of despair. This concept was made crystal clear to me earlier today. Dan and I choose to speak to each other with kindness and respect. In fact, he almost always makes me feel that I am a person of immense value. So, an episode that happened this morning might seem trivial to some, but it was a big deal to me.
God speaks to the positives of what we are and what we can become, rather than emphasizing the negatives. For example, God does not speak to our sickness and disease; he speaks to our health. He does not speak to our poverty or lack; he speaks to our wealth and abundance. He does not speak to our failure or mistakes; he speaks to our success. He does not focus on the past; he speaks to the now and to the future. God speaks the language of hope to encourage each of us to succeed. We do not like to be left in the dark so God brings us into the light. He wants us to know the wonderful plans he has for our futures as much as we want him to reveal them to us.
"O Lord God of our fathers, are You not God in heaven, and do You not rule over all the kingdoms of the nations, and in Your hand is there not power and might, so that no one is able to withstand You?" 2 Chronicles 20:6 When faced with what appeared to be certain destruction, King Jehoshaphat set himself to seek the Lord. Today's scripture is part of his prayer. Note that instead of rehashing his fears to the Lord and lamenting about how overpowered by their enemies their small tribe was, Jehoshaphat centered his prayer and thoughts on just how big and powerful his God truly is. He proclaimed boldly that "no one is able to withstand" the Lord—no one! In a hopeless situation, he hoped in the Lord.
