We have been under a time of heavy storms and warfare sent from the enemy of our souls. As I have been saying, this is to distract us from what God is preparing and bringing to the Earth right now. It is time to believe and not doubt! In the midst of some of the heaviest trials over the past month, I have also been having some of the most amazing encounters with the Lord. I have had to fight the urge to not fully value these encounters because they came with such a high price tag of attack. This sounds logical, but remember when Peter walked on the water with Jesus? He was also in a time of intense storms, yet in the midst of his amazing supernatural encounter he doubted and began to sink (Matthew 14:22–33 NIV).
"Sanctify them by the truth; your word is truth."John 17:17 God gave me this verse (John 17:17) at the close of the 17th day of November. Biblically, the 17ths fall at significant GAME CHANGING points for the people of the Lord. Noah's ark came to rest on the 17th day of the seventh month (Gen 8:4) after the Lord had washed away everything and made it new. Esther, after fasting 3 days, sets up a banquet for the 17th of Nisan for God to use her to expose the plans on the enemy Haman and bring a new joy, freedom, and protection for God's people. The 17th of Nisan is also even interpreted as some to be the resurrection date of Jesus.
Do you feel unsafe? Are you afraid? Have you received a disheartening medical report? God forewarns us that in this world we will have tribulation, meaning difficult times. Then He tells us to rejoice, not because of the difficult situations we are passing through, but that in Him we have the victory. One step to walk in this victory is to declare God's Word over the situation. Try this, it will help you to strengthen your faith for God's protection.
From the time I first came to the Lord as someone right out of high school, one of the things I came to recognize when I got together with other believers was this manifested Presence of God that would come. When we come together in unity with the goal of fellowship in the Presence of God through worship and prayer, the oil of His manifested Presence is poured out upon us. Because of the blessing of having a home group on Friday night, then church on Sunday mornings I came to experience Him on a regular basis.
"Endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling…" (Ephesians 4:3-4 KJV) Throughout the world today, there are currently more than 33,000 Christian denominations and various faith groups who profess Christ and more than 7 billion individuals in existence within humanity. Within such a staggering number is the realization that within the global Body of Christ exists great diversity. Prophetically speaking, there is a heavenly power in this uniqueness which reminds us of the need to become much more aware of the beauty of "differences." Differences exist for a very real and very heavenly reason.
What you're going through right now is getting you ready for what's about to happen to you next! In fact, your next is your now. This is your season to be creative. You will design things that are not from you, but from Him. I see strategies being downloaded from heaven and uploaded to you by God's chosen. People will be placed intentionally into areas of your life to help expedite your now into your next. During this time, the Lord will give you wisdom that will dwell with prudence and the knowledge of witty invention (Prov. 8:12). This is your time to take risks that may seem scary but are mandated by the Lord.
Okay, the Lord keeps bringing this up to me today - There are many people who teach on "the power of your confession" and they can give good Bible verses about it too. But, here is what MUST be understood. The "power" of it is in your agreement with the Holy Spirit of God. God is not giving you the power to become Him. He is not making you a God along beside of Him like a "pal" or a "peer." He is not putting His Authority in you to be as Him except in a way that is under Him. Like Father, like son, yes. But even sons know they are not their father. There is an order, a chain of command, but in the Spirit of the Holy Spirit, there is no weakness or breakdown. The Spirit holds its or His own position. You can see all this even in Jesus.
Do you know that God brought you into the world for this specific time? People of the past were given a period of time to live and fulfill their purpose on the Earth. Many of them did great things and we can admire and be grateful for them, but their season is over. We are now living in our era. This time is a special moment that God picked—specifically for us to walk the Earth and fulfill our calling. The question is: What are you going to do with your time? Some people are walking around feeling like they have no purpose or destiny, when we've been chosen for such a time as this!
I was reminded by someone this week that some people aren't bad people they just made bad choices. I guess I rush to judgment too often. I recently made a bad choice and have seen the need for God's loving grace. I would think that I would be condemned like I have condemned others; instead I have been given grace and love. We must realize when we feel like condemning and judging others that that could be us. We are all capable of making bad choices. I never was that judgmental till a person whose life revolved around illegal drugs tried to ruin my life and did some very bad things to me. I also was the victim of adultery.
Do you ever experience coincidences that stop you in your tracks? The pastor on the podcast explained the text would be from Deuteronomy. I turned it up and pulled directly behind a car with a tag that read "DEUT28." A minute later the pastor said, "We'll be looking at chapter 28 today." He had my attention. I'm not going to rehash the whole sermon, but I do want to share the core of the message that followed as I drove home and has stuck in my mind to this day. We have lived a long time with the idea of blessings and curses. There is an unspoken economy in our souls: do right and be blessed, do wrong and be cursed. Moses went into great detail in the Torah to explain the system of blessings and curses.
