The Eternal is taking the bench; He's ready to judge; He rises to lay out the people's case. The Eternal will bring charges against those in positions of authority over His people. Isaiah 3:13-14 (The Voice) No more will these wicked taskmasters have rule over God's people. No more will they hinder coming forth God's perfect will for the Lord will come like a flood and wipe out those who say they have the authority to oppress God's holy people.
Many of you have been experiencing intense spiritual warfare the past few weeks and some have even said, "It is like an ambush against me." There has been an assignment from the kingdom of darkness to steal, kill and destroy your destiny but the Lord says: "Never give up and never quit." You have been created in His image and He has given you His authority. The things that you are battling now will soon become your history and you will bring forth a mighty testimony.
Father God is making Himself known to us in new dimensions. God is covering us with His glory mantles. We were created to live and dwell in the glory. We cannot successfully act or live independent of our Creator. We get sick, weak and die when we disconnect from God's glorious presence. When the glory departs we enter into survival mode to maintain our struggling existence. Adam walked with God covered by the Holy Spirit in the Garden of Eden. Adam communicated with God in the realms of continuous glory (Eden means gateway or portal). God's Spirit intermingled with Adam's spirit as God and man communicated Spirit to spirit without words.
Like many of you, I have received attacks on my body at different times, and there have been some serious issues. But through prayer and faith, and practical helps, a lot has been overcome. There are appointed times for us, but while we are alive, we do want to give it our best! It's so good to pray the Scriptures and believe in the atoning grace of Jesus through His work on the Cross. He paid the price for us!
The Lord gave me this vision as I was waiting on Him during the night season. As it gradually unfolded in front of me, I clearly saw the following events take place. I sleep, but my heart is awake; it is the voice of my beloved! He knocks, saying, "Open for me, my sister, my love, my dove, my perfect one; for my head is covered with dew, my locks with the drops of the night" (Song of Solomon 5:2, NKJV). "Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me" (Rev. 3:20, NKJV).
There is something in all of us that's raw, painful, complicated, growing, beautiful and we rarely show it. It would be embarrassing, it could hurt our reputation, it might be too heart-on-the-sleeve, or "too much information." Vulnerability is a buzzword many talk about. We can all dip our toe in the shallow end, but how about the deep end? No way, I'll stick with the subtle references to "hard times" and "difficult situations." I'll talk about my impatience and neat-freak tendencies but not the real ugly parts.
I awoke this morning with the verse from Habakkuk 2:14 flowing through my mind and spirit. "For as the waters fill the sea, the earth will be filled with an awareness of the glory of the LORD." I heard in my spirit all of the noise coming from news reports and social media outlets such as Twitter, Facebook, and the rest. I heard the noise of divisions, anger, hate, and rage, all resonating like "resounding gongs and clanging cymbals". It was deafening. Then suddenly I heard the voice of the Lord, the Creator of heaven and earth.
The past week the Lord has been pressing on me a simple but profound image. It being fall with harvest themes all around, He showed me a farmer who, instead of planting and watering seeds, was watering his picked baskets of fruit. It seemed silly until He told me, "Don't keep watering past harvests." We are always somewhere in this growth cycle, and we can tell by our lives. Are we seeing lots of fruit or progress? It's harvest time! Are we sowing a lot of ourselves into callings? It's planting time! Are we pressing through the waiting season? That's growing time! Sometimes these seasons even overlap.
