To say we have no voice or say in what happens in our lives is an excuse for not surrendering to the Holy Spirit. We do have a voice, but it means we are just living by every whim we have and not by God. Galatians 5:16 (TPT) tells us, "As you yield to the dynamic life and power of the Holy Spirit, you will abandon the cravings of your self-life." This lets us know that our voices will be dynamically powerful or marked by continuous productive activity, and change in an energetic way when we make sure we have left behind our desires and cravings which seem to lead us down the wrong paths.
I was speaking to Jesus one time about my supernatural encounters and asking him how to explain why I am so fortunate to meet Biblical Saints and encounter so much of what heaven has to offer, including angelic encounters. He explained it to me. He said, "Imagine you have a friend in the workplace, and you really get to know them in a deep way." I said, "Yes." "Well," he continued, "You know you are really close to that person when they start o introduce you to their friends and family members."
As I waited upon the Lord, I heard His voice so closely. He began to minister to my heart and show me things to come. We are entering into a moment of inspection from the Lord. Man looks at the outward, but the Lord looks at the heart. First Samuel 16:7 says this, "....The Lord doesn't see things the way you see them. People judge by outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart." Man looks at the outward display of the leaves, but we are now entering an inspection time of the root.
God has a good plan for your life, and He doesn't want you to be tormented by fear or let it hold you back from your destiny. His will is for you to walk forward, confident in His love, trusting Him to take care of you all along the way. We also have an enemy, Satan, who will do everything he can to stop us from walking in God's good plan. Anytime we are making progress and moving forward in God's will for our lives, the devil will try to come against us with fear to drive us backward. This is one of the enemy's greatest tactics-to bring fear and try to prevent us from making progress. He wants us to fear our circumstances and what other people will think. He wants us to focus on the "what ifs."
First Corinthians 13 is often called the love chapter. It is sandwiched between chapter 12, which teaches on the gifts and callings of the Spirit, and chapter 14, which emphasizes the etiquette of the spoken gifts. I always looked at First Corinthians 13 as a pause to remind the Corinthians that everything is done in love. However, Paul did not write in chapter and verse. This chapter ties into recognizing the whole body of Christ. It takes every part of every ministry gift to give us an accurate picture of the realm of the Spirit.
This is a powerful time to hear God. Rosh Hashanah is the Jewish New Year, and it is the Hebrew year 5783, for those who are counting. It begins at sundown on Sunday, September 25, 2022, and ends at nightfall on Tuesday, September 27. We are no longer under the Jewish Law of Moses, but God still uses the Jewish calendar to speak seasonally. This is the time, historically, that the Lord begins to reveal your assignment for the upcoming year.
Here's an honest confession: I struggle to rest in the Lord. Maybe I'm a bit compulsive, but I find it difficult to be still and know that God is working when I can't see what He's doing. When I need the Lord to do something in my life, I tend to "help Him" do it. But I have come to realize that God doesn't need my help! In Old Covenant times, God instructed His priests to dress in linen garments instead of wool so they wouldn't perspire while they worked. Ezekiel 44:18b (NASB1995) says: "They shall not gird themselves with anything which makes them sweat."
In the book of Genesis there is a story about a man named Joseph. Joseph was favored by his father and his father gave him a coat of many colors. I believe that this was a metaphor of the Lord placing a prophetic mantle upon his life. The Lord gave Joseph two dreams in which He showed him his destiny. His brothers hated him because he was highly favored, and when he shared his dreams with them, they hated him all the more. They threw him into a ditch, took his coat of my many colors, put goat's blood on it, and took it to the father so that the father would think that ferocious animals devoured and killed him.

Jesus has come to give us the abundant life in His Presence. It is always there for the taking. He is no respecter of persons and is "The Rewarder" of those who diligently seek Him. Thank God He is a rewarder! You can see that God knows that we need something called "incentives." You see Jesus giving us incentives to be generous, to seek Him, to love and follow Him in all things. He created us and knows what motivates us. How does God motivate or give us incentives? Start with giving. He says, "Give and... what?" "It shall be given to you - even a good measure, pressed down shaken together and running over." (Luke 6:38) Why would He say this to us? He is motivating us!
