There seems to be a lot more detachment these days. Too many sad stories°to much stress. Perhaps what we need now more than ever is to be more understanding, compassionate, and kind? There is an old saying called, "give yourself some slack." The idea of Giving Yourself Some Slack means that you start with yourself! The phrase is a sailing term from late 1700s that originally meant to loosen or give slack on a sail or rope. SLACK means to ease pressure upon situations and stop forcing a desired result.
Did you know that God's joy is inside you? As God's children, we have the Holy Spirit living inside us, and with Him come all the fruits of the Spirit, including joy (see Galatians 5:22-23). Even though there are so many challenges going on in the world right now, we can still have joy. In fact, it's incredibly important that we hold on to our joy, because the joy of the Lord is our strength (see Nehemiah 8:10). You might be thinking, Joyce, that sounds nice, but I'm not experiencing it—I'm pretty sure I've lost my joy.
When I first met my friend "Guillermo," he couldn't make eye contact. I knew he had suffered a lot of abuse because he always held his head down. When I asked him about it, he told me his angry father often called him names and scolded him continually. I once prayed for a woman named "Paula" who felt unwanted because her parents told her she was a "mistake." Another young man I know, "Sean," was constantly teased by classmates because he struggled with his weight. Even though he found salvation in Christ as a young adult, he considered suicide more than once because he felt so bad about himself.
The Lord spoke to me recently and said, "A deep cleansing is taking place. And I am cleansing from the foundations. Because My people who are called by My name are founded upon My rock, the rock of salvation. "Salvation goes to the very core of your spiritual being. And My people have been standing on shaky ground, and I will not stand still and allow My people to sink upon the sands of this world. "During this shaking, earthly things are falling apart. And during this shaking I say to you, hold on to the power of My Word. Have I not said to you from times of old, 'The grass withers and the flowers fade, but My Word lives forever.' My Word is eternal.
The breakthrough you have been trying to obtain is on its way! Things that haven't yet happened and seem delayed are going to come forth. You will experience deliverance from issues where you haven't been able to receive complete breakthrough. Prophecies not yet fulfilled are going to manifest! I was dancing in worship a few days ago when I heard the words "birth" and "push." As I continued to worship, the weight of His glory was so strong I ended up prostrate on the floor, and a word came forth which I released over the event attendees. The word continued to climax over the next 24 hours through a dream and further revelation while in His presence.
Over the past week I have been hearing the Lord say to read the book of Amos. As I read, what was outstanding to me, was that things had reached a state where God decided it was time to do something—that He would no longer turn aside. The situation was grave and called for significant measures, where it became necessary to bring out Heaven's ultimate weapon against corruption—the only solution to the problem! God said to Amos, I am sending the Plumb Line! "And the LORD said to me, 'Amos, what do you see?' And I said, 'A plumb line.' Then the Lord said: 'Behold, I am setting a plumb line in the midst of My people Israel; I will not pass by them anymore.'" Amos 7:8
Many times as we study the word of God, I believe that it would benefit us to slow down and meditate upon not only the passage, but even each word in the passage. If you need healing in your body today° If there has been sickness or disease in your body today° If a spirit of infirmity has taken residence in your flesh° then today is your day for a breakthrough! I invite you to read the following passage from the book of Romans, and as you read it allow the spirit of truth to manifest in your body for your healing.
Sometimes we don't understand God's timing or what He is doing, but learning to love is key to understanding God and His ways. I believe that 2021 is a time when completeness—love's perfection—is coming with greater understanding. Our present knowledge and our prophecies are but partial, but when love's perfection arrives, the partial will fade away. 1 Corinthians 13:9–10 TPT I want to help you get ready to move beyond "partial knowledge and prophecy" into seeing, hearing and understanding the Lord more clearly than ever before!
Revelation 1 gives us an insight into this reality. When you consider the persecutions of the first apostles you see that what is happening today is not so developed in a concerted effort to persecute the Church, I think we are on the threshold of an end time persecution which shall fill the "cup of iniquity" of the whole world. This shall be pivotal for the end. This series which I started just after the new year has the motivation of preparing the saints for what is coming. What is coming can only be walked through when we are duly prepared in the Word and the Spirit.
Then the servants of the king of Syria said to him, "Their gods are gods of the hills. Therefore they were stronger than we; but if we fight against them in the plain, surely we will be stronger than they…Then a man of God came and spoke to the king of Israel, and said, "Thus says the Lord: 'Because the Syrians have said, "The Lord is God of the hills, but He is not God of the valleys," therefore I will deliver all this great multitude into your hand, and you shall know that I am the Lord.'" 1 Kings 20:23, 28
