I spent this past weekend with a group of younger guys from the Washington, D.C. area. Most of them were in their mid to late 20s and early 30s, the age of my own kids. All but two of them were single. And even though I am twice their age they loved being with me. I've been texting several of them since our three-day retreat. There is no generation gap between us. We genuinely enjoyed being together, whether we were worshipping the Lord, building a bonfire, sharing meals or staying up late and talking about their biggest struggles.
The importance of imagination far exceeds the scopes of just knowledge, for the expanses of the imagination reach beyond the known world. Before we can fully explore the awakened imagination, we must become familiar with the different knowledges that the imagination uses and draws from, their definition and their significance. Knowledge is defined as the fact or condition of knowing or being aware of something with familiarity that is gained through learning experiences, acquaintances or associations. It encompasses the range of one's learned information or level of understanding.
John 10:10 "The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly." Jesus said I've come to give you life and life abundantly. He promises that living waters will spring from within us to everlasting life. God is all about life – super abundant life. In the Book of Revelation we see the River of Life flowing from the Throne of God and the Tree of Life that is for the healing of the nations. The devil is the thief. He is the taker. God is the Giver! Make sure never to accuse the Lord of what the devil is doing. That would be like calling good evil or evil good.
I'm beginning a section on tithing. And particularly the issue of "tithing-up." It should not embarrass us or anger us to talk about proper giving. Jesus talked more about giving and stewardship than any other topic. As a matter of fact, Jesus talked more about giving money to God than He did about the Kingdom of Heaven. How much money does Jesus want from you and me? Let me share two options with you. Option ONE: You can tithe. You can say, "If I give $11.42 as 10% and then I'm through with my giving because that is what I have to give and my obligation is satisfied.
One day while I was out for a run, Holy Spirit began speaking to me, as he often does while I'm out running. Trust me, God had my full attention as a vision played out in front of me as I ran. In this vision, there was a hideous, foul smelling beast....on a chain. The chain was like a heavy version of a tie out for a dog. There was a central spike in the ground and the beast was chained to it. It could only go where the chain would allow it.
"And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose." (Romans 8:28 KJV) Everything has always worked together for the good of those who love God.  You've heard it many times before, I'm sure.  However, what does it truly mean and what are we as believers to make of the concept of "togetherness?"  My newest book Synchronicities: God's Universal Tools is now available internationally and the response has already been overwhelming as some have expressed that this is the book they've been waiting for.
The mountains melt like wax at the presence of the Lord. Psalm 97:5 No matter where you are, the Lord is with you. Even in the midst of your fears, while you are alone in your room, He is there with you. The moment you begin to be aware of His presence and cultivate His presence, all your fears, anxieties and worries will melt like butter on a hot day, or as the psalmist David puts it, "The mountains melt like wax at the presence of the Lord."
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ: according as he hath chosen us in him, before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love, having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will. Ephesians 1:3-5

God can and does work any way He chooses. But God did not create you to need only Him. That may sound dangerous to say, but hear me out. God does not work alone. There are at least three ways in which God is not all you need. I know what it's like to look for validation and fulfillment from other people, trying to please them in order to be OK myself and believing what they said about me. And my life didn't become better until I went to God for what only He can provide. But that's only part of the equation. We get in trouble when we look for things in the wrong place. If you look to people for what only God can give, you'll always be disappointed. But you'll be just as disappointed if you expect God to magically douse you with what He has designed you to get from human relationships.
As we have entered a new decade, the Lord spoke to me in prayer about what He described this coming season to be. He said that it will be a season for the believer of which "eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor has it entered into the heart of man the things which God has prepared for those who love Him" (1 Cor. 2:9). I believe that the body of Christ has experienced tough times and is looking for a beacon of hope that God is about to come through for them. The Lord says that He is bringing many of you into a place of fulfillment. The Lord also says that you are coming into your season of unseen breakthrough.
